7awi Media Group is looking for an experienced and creative Events Director to join our team. The Events Director will be responsible for leading and managing the planning and execution of all events for our organization, while also playing a key role in business development. They will work closely with various teams to understand their objectives and develop event strategies that align with overall business goals. This includes managing budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful events. Additionally, the Events Director will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and partnerships that align with our organization’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement event strategies that align with overall business goals and brand objectives Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships that align with our organization’s strategic goals.
- Create and manage budgets for events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and event partners.
- Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, audiovisuals, catering, transportation, and entertainment.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that events are aligned with overall marketing and communications efforts.
- Develop and execute marketing and promotional plans to drive attendance and engagement for events.
- Monitor and report on event performance, including attendance, budget, and ROI.
- Manage and develop a team of event professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with event industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and incorporate them into event strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and management, with a proven track record of successful events.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing a team of event professionals.
- Proven track record in business development, with experience identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to overcome challenges.
- Proficiency in event management software, project management tools, and MS Office suite.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by events.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a plus.
